Featuring an ensemble cast of highly-experienced instructors, this week-long training is designed to fulfill the state training requirements for domestic and sexual violence victim advocates.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis, with priority given to individuals who are currently working for or volunteering with a coalition member program in good standing, as well as new advocates who have not already received the core DV/SA advocacy training in-person. Maximum 50 attendees.
Scholarship benefit for coalition member programs
Confirmed attendees from coalition member programs located 70+ one-way driving miles from the training site are eligible to receive reimbursement for meals, mileage, and lodging expenses associated with attending this training.
Unexcused absences from one or more training sessions may disqualify that attendee’s organization from receiving the scholarship reimbursement.
Meal reimbursement details
Each confirmed attendee from a coalition member program in good standing is eligible to receive reimbursement for meals and incidental expenses associated with attending this training. Meal reimbursement is calculated using standard per diem meals and incidental expenses (M&IE) rates set by the US General Services Administration. Each eligible attendee is responsible for paying upfront for their meals during this training. Eligible attendees do not need to submit meal receipts to the coalition. All reimbursement checks will be made payable to each eligible attendee’s organization. Attendees from organizations that are not coalition member programs are not eligible for meal reimbursement.
Mileage reimbursement details
Mileage reimbursement amounts will be calculated using the shortest drivable distance between each program’s address of record and the training site, using the US Internal Revenue Service’s 2018 standard federal mileage rate (TBD). Eligible attendees do not need to submit proof of mileage incurred. If your program is sending two or more people to this training, give us a call at (503) 230-1951 to discuss mileage reimbursement details. The Coalition encourages carpooling when possible. All reimbursement checks will be made payable to each eligible attendee’s organization. Attendees from organizations that are not coalition member programs in good standing are not eligible for mileage reimbursement.
Lodging arrangements and reimbursement details
Each confirmed attendee is responsible for booking and paying up front for their lodging arrangements. The Coalition has established a special guestroom block at the Red Lion Inn and Suites – Bend for $99/night + taxes. Click here to book your guestroom.
For each member program in good standing located 70+ driving miles from the training venue, the Coalition will reimburse guestroom expenses for a maximum six nights (i.e. checking in on Sunday 3/11 and checking out on Friday 3/16). If a return trip on Friday night would pose an undue hardship, confirmed attendees may request Coalition reimbursement for an additional room-night. Additionally, if your program is sending multiple people to this training, give us a call at (503) 230-1951 to discuss lodging reimbursement details.
Confirmed attendees may opt to book alternate off-site lodging accommodations, but reimbursable lodging expenses shall not exceed the federal GSA lodging rate of $112/night + tax (any additional expense will be the attendee’s responsibility). Each eligible attendee must submit their final hotel bill to Meagan Schorr, OCADSV Sexual and Domestic Violence Program Coordinator (link sends e-mail) as soon as possible after the training. All reimbursement checks will be made payable to each eligible attendee’s organization. Attendees from organizations that are not coalition member programs in good standing are not eligible for lodging reimbursement.
