CVCP Training: Learn more about Oregon’s Crime Victims’ Compensation Program (CVCP). The CVCP works to ease financial burden suffered by hundreds of Oregonians each year. This training includes information about program eligibility and benefits, the application process and how payments are handled. This 3 1/2 day, comprehensive training teaches the Oregon Interviewing Guidelines Forensic Interview Structure, which is designed to gather the greatest amount of reliable information in a child-sensitive, developmentally-appropriate, and legally-defensible manner. The Oregon Child Forensic Interview Training is evidence-based, supported by current research, and approved by the National Children’s Alliance to meet the Forensic Interview Training Standards. This 24-hour Basic Crisis Response Team training focuses on providing trauma mitigation and education in the aftermath of a critical incident, either small-scale or mass-casualty, scaling the response to the need, from one individual to thousands (i.e., the “Walking Worried”). NOVA CRT training is used by tribal communities, mental health professionals, first responders, school counselors, human resource departments and victim advocates.
