Tony GreenAttorney General Hardy Myers and Clatsop County District Attorney Josh Marquis will announce the terms of a comprehensive criminal and civil settlement agreement with a major seafood processor based in Warrenton, OR, at a news conference on Wednesday, August 7, 2002. The news conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Oregon State University Seafood Research Laboratory in Astoria. The Seafood Center is located on Marine Drive (which is Highway 30) directly across from the Columbia River Maritime Museum. Ample parking is available behind the center.

The settlement agreement concludes a 2-year combined criminal investigation by the Oregon Department of Justice, the Clatsop County District Attorney's Office, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Oregon State Police. The settlement is contemplated to be one of the largest of its kind in Oregon history.
